Backdek's journey began with the need to find good and practical solutions for utilizing outdoor spaces. With our experienced team, we set out to explore the possibilities of using thermally modified wood for various outdoor solutions. Our products are based on a patented decking and flooring module, offering endless possibilities. Our commitment to woodworking and beautiful design has been the foundation for every Backdek product created.
WHY DO WE PREFER SOFTWOOD?
Renewable resource - forests grow back and are managed so that new trees are planted to replace those that are harvested.
Sustainable forestry - in the Nordic countries, strict regulations ensure that forest area does not decrease.
Lower CO₂ footprint - wood absorbs carbon as it grows and stores it long-term as a building material.
Recyclable - unlike many artificial materials, wood can be reused or naturally decomposes over time.

We are an environmentally friendly company and prefer to use materials that support ecological balance and responsible use of natural resources. Our thermo- and treated wood is produced by Raitwood, wood-plastic composite decking is produced by OneWood, wood protection is provided by Osmo, and high-quality fasteners come from the Essve product range.
